I am researching James Wood who I have on the 1841, 1851, 1861 & 1871 census, in and around London/Middlesex. He marries a Maria Boyle (born c1815) also of Westport Co Mayo, although in 1861 she has North Collegeland as her place of birth.
They had four children, John born c1837, Michael James 1841, Maria 1843 & Hubert 1846, all born in Middlesex
Any information about their Irish roots would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Graham

Graham,
Baptism records for Roman Catholics do not cover the parishes of Aughagour/Aghagower or Aughaval (Westport), in the early 1800's.
Church of Ireland records may cover the years from 1801 for Aaughaval (Westport) and for Aughagower from 1825, but you
will need to check with the Representative Church Body, Churchtown in Dublin.
There is a record of a person named "Wood" in he Tithe Applotment Records c1834 in Aghagower. Copy attached.
Regards,
McCoy
