Hi there,
With the assistance of a very helpful user on this message board (McCoy) I've been able discover several of my relatives in Ireland (I live in New Zealand). However, I am still researching, but struggling with, my grandfather's family.
My grandfather, Francis Joseph Doyle, was born to a James Doyle and Mary Ellen Price in 1928. James was already a widower by the time he and Mary married. They lived at 38 New Street in South Dublin. They also appear to have had two other sons, James Augustine in 1924 (KIA in WW2 I believe) and William in 1926. James Doyle was born to a John Doyle, and I believe a Kate Doyle (not sure of her maiden name) based on the fact a Kate Doyle lived at that same address in 1911.
Unfortunately after that, the trail runs cold. I was wondering if anyone here might be related or in some way connected to my Irish family and could tell me more?
Many thanks,
Aidan Doyle (Wellington, New Zealand).

I found this 1916 marriage in Dublin of widower James Brady and Mary RICE, not Price:

Perhaps this is the couple?

Aidan,
To widen the scope of your query, I attach some records in relation to Mary Ellen Price who married James Doyle. Her father apparently was Laurance Price of Long Lane, off New Street and her mother was Lizzie Mockler whose father - Patrick - was a Railway Guard. They married in 1887.
Laurence Price was a Sawyer, as was his father who lived in Montgomery Street in the 1850's.
Regards,
McCoy
