Hi from sweden :)
I'm looking for my irish roots on my dad's side and on his dad's side, my grandpa. My da's name is Ronny Claesson born 1954 his Fathers name was Konrad Claesson(his wife Esther Claesson, my grandma). I have heard that we are suppose to have irish blood , i have heard this since i was little so it would be good to find out if it's really true or not but i also have a step brother Robin who did a DNA test and he had some information back that was interesting, a name came up in Dublin Ireland and Scotland and the uk. But i'm curious about my irish roots and if someone knows anything about the Claesson family etc maybe on Mayo area as they said on here they recommended me to join this group on here, so let me know, contact me :) Thank you! /Anna Eriksson

Hi annablomma,
I see there is a death for a Kurt Claesson in 2005. In Naas, County Kildare.
The actual record is not on line only this one, above, details were in familysearch.
Is this the name your Robin saw?
There are people in the 1911 Census from Sweden in Mayo. Quite a few in other Counties in Ireland.

Hi Margot
Thank you for your answer. Ok, no it was a female name i tried to look for her on facebook too and i found her name in Dublin but she has not seen it i think. He name is Margaret Scannell. I don't know more about her than it says Dublin. So, this place you mentioned is outside Dublin i saw. So maybe it's something to do with my Claesson family who knows. I find it a bit difficult to search for these things but i do want to know my irish history if it's true or not :) Where are you from?

Hi Anna, thanks for the tree.
I am so sorry I can't find any information.
There are a few marriages in Ireland with the spouse from Sweden but none of the name you list.
If I do find any I will come back to you.
