I have hit a wall in my research, i have a George Shane born 1826 married Euphemia Megarry or McGarry. His father was supposedly also called George Shane but i cant get any further back.

Here is the civil marriage record from 1848. Father was George. I did not find a baptismal record for George on the subscription site Roots Ireland.

I am not sure if this helps-
Per his marriage record, it looks like George was from the Parish of Glenavy in Antrium. Per RootsIreland. a George Shane married Mary Kane in 1821 in Glenavy, Church of Ireland. They lived in Glenavy Town.
In 1728, a George Shaen died in Glenavy, Church of Ireland, father- Francis Shaen.
Per Ancestry, a George Shane shows up on Griffith Valuation around 1862.

There’s only 1 George Shane in Co Antrim in Griffiths Valuation (1862). He lived in Ballymote, Glenavy, where he had plot 12b which was a house and small garden. That property today is long gone but the location is at the side of the Lisburn Rd, near the junction with Ballymote Rd.
Possibly George’s death in Belfast in 1879:
Euphemia’s death in 1898:
Possibly a grand-daughter’s death:
