I am trying to find information on Francis Shangle from the first half of the 19th century. If there is information on any other Shangle family members, that would be great, too.

Nothing found in various Sites for the surname "Shangle" in Ireland.
The only records found relate to the USA census where you have a "Bridget Shangle" who was born in Ireland, but this is possible her married name?

Looking at the various U.S. censuses for Bridget and family, it is clear the name is actually Spangle.
George Spangle was Bridget's husband. I wasn't able to find her maiden name.
