Hello Tom and others,
I am looking for any connection between my Murphy ancestors and Elizabeth Fitzgerald who was apparently born in Cahir on 1 Nov 1837. She came to NSW and married a man named William Bagnall Laird in 1895. They lived on a property called Willowdale near the town of Boggabri, NSW. I am wondering if Elizabeth Fitzgerald had any connection with the Murphy family of Cahir. ie. James Murphy and Elizabeth Murphy of the Glengall Arms Hotel. Their daughter, my g-g-grandmother Margaret Murphy, lived in the Boggabri area also in that time period.
Thanks, Lyn Stewart
