DONOHO and BRADY families from Carrigallen

Bernard/Barney DONOHO came to the US and his four children followed. Ann, Philip, Maria (my gr gr grandmother) and Patrick DONOHO followed later.

They came during the mid 1840s.

I know for a fact they are from Carrigallen. But I cannot find any information about them in Carrigallen. They did have extended family there... those members tried to declare my gr gr grandmother dead so as to acquirre a large inheritance from her brother Philip DONOHO. There was court held in either Leitrim or Armagh to prove my grandmother was still alive.

I've searched for court records from the late 1870s as well as any other DONOHOs who might be related but no lucTk so far.

Bernard's wife was reported by her daughter Ann to have died in the "pesthouse." Her words. There may have been other children who died as well. I've ttried to find workhouse records to find them but nothing. Her name was Maria (Brady) Donoho.

I would like to find those court records or evidence of their time in Carrigallen before they all emigrated.

The court case pitted Ann (DONOHO) Mckiernan and my gr gr grandmother Maria (Donoho) CARROLL against relatives who were insisting they were dead. Ann and Maria prevailed and won the case.

I know this is an awful lot of information but I thought that maybe some part of it might pique the interest of someone.
