This is my great grandmother who married Menzo Kenward in Orleans County NYS USA. Her father was John albert Dempsey born in the states his father James Dempsey? born in Ireland and his father Edward?. All very common names and very difficult to trace. any assistance is apprieciated

1822-1825 is a range i found for James's birth, A. Mary Penrose (born 1831 in Ireland) married in Co. Wicklow?, and i think catholic

I searched the on-line Catholic marriage records for Ireland for around 1850 but did not find a marriage for this couple. Nor could I see any children born to parents of those names either. That might be because the parish they married in doesn’t have any records for that period. I also searched the statutory records for a non RC marriage 1845 – 1860 but likewise without success.
