Daniel was a shoemaker/ boot maker. He was my gr gr grandfather. All solid references are Australian. He stated he was from Limerick. He died in Western Australia early in 1900's . Mothers maiden name not given in any references.
At one point I found a shoemaker , James Redmond in Limerick town. I cannot find reference sadly. Only one or two DNA Redmond clues but of minor value and are from classical counties , Waterford and Wexford. All of this could be irrelevant of course.
Any pointers appreciated.

I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland but did not locate a Daniel Redmond baptismal record with father James in Co. Limerick.
Redmond is a surname found in a  numbers of counties but Co. Wexford by far has the most Redmond's.

Roots Ireland did have a July 9 1853 baptismal record in the Monageer RC parish in Co. Wexford. Father James Redmond and mother Mary Doyle. Roots Ireland does not have the records for all the RC parishes in Co. Wexford. I will need to check another site and get back to you with other possible leads.

I checked FindMyPast which is another subscription site and unfortunately there were no Daniel Redmond baptismal records near 1830 in Co. Wexford. Also, no Daniel Redmond records with those parents in Co. Limerick.

The best record I located was March 17 1825 at the Camross RC parish in Co. Laois. Parents were James Redmond and Mary Dowling.
