Hi there
My GG Grandmother was a Catherine Cunnane who was born in Balla, in 1835 (I think to John Cunnane and Catherine Johnston). She had moved to England in the 1860s (where her name was Anglicised to Cannon) and married James Donnelly, before settling in County Durham. I know our history from this point on, but am interested in the family she left behind in Ireland - in particular, whether there is a connection to one of the 'Tuam Martyrs', Frank Cunnane.
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,
I came across your post while trying to research some of my family tree. The Catherine Cunnane and James Donnelly you mention are my GGG grandparents. I know that my GG grandfather, also James Donnelly, had a cousin Francis Cunnane (Frank). I'm not sure if it's the Frank Cunnane that you mention in your post. I'd be interested to find this out too. Did you ever manage to clarify if there was a connection to the Tuam Martyrs. Thanks Donna
