Roger and Kacee,
On Ancestry some trees show Thomas' parents were Thomas Connor and Mary Keane.
Name Thomas Connor Baptism Age 0 Event Type Baptism Birth Date 1865 Baptism Date 8 Sep 1865 Baptism Place Moyvane, Kerry, Ireland Parish Variants Knockanure, Moyvane, Newtownsandes and Knockanure, Newtownsandes Diocese Kerry Father Thomas Connor Mother Maria Keane Welcome to Irish Genealogy - Irish Genealogy Look at Church Records
I did not find the siblings identified above but at the same time and in Moyvane a Thomas Connor was born to Thomas Connor and Mary Kelly. Siblings were Mary born in Duagh, and James, Ellen , and John born in GURTDROMOGOUNA, Moyvane.
Maybe this is who you are looking for.

Thank you, Mary! I also found the baptismal records for Thomas born to Thomas and Mary Keane, but I did not find the Thomas that was born to Thomas and Mary Kelly with siblings Mary, James, Ellen, and John. I will see what I can find on this family.

According to trees on Ancestry. Ida's and Thomas' last child was born in 1910 in Rome, Sunflower County, Mississippi, USA. Ida died there in 1912. If Thomas was away, who raised the young family.??

Hi, Mary, great question! T.J. (Thomas J. went by T.J.) and Ida moved from Raymond, Monroe County, AR to Rome MS with Ida's parents, William F. Dodson and Rachel E. Turney. After Ida died in 1912, the children were raised by their grandmother. She died in 1918 and my grandfather, James Richard, raised the younger children (the youngest was Rachel Elizabeth, who was 8 when her grandmother died).
Another question for us is why in the world the whole family moved from AR to Sunflower County, MS. They owned a nice piece of property in AR; they had horses, cattle, and pigs, and T.J. led the charge in getting Raymond recognized as a township in 1899 because people were having to go too far to vote. (We've spent many, many hours in the Monroe County courthouse going through old records). While Rome, Sunflower Co. MS was a very tiny, poor area, and as far as we can ascertain, they had no family there (Dodsons or Connors). My cousin has researched records in the Sunflower Co. courthouse but it was a long time ago and we are contemplating a trip back there.
A bigger mystery is 1)Why T.J. ended up in Monroe Co. AR, and where he was between 1870 and 1888, and 2) why we can't find him on any 1920 census.
Thank you for your interest in helping us find our Irish branch of the family! We want to exhaust all efforts before we head across the pond next year.
