I just joined this site looking for information about an entry regarding the marriage of my great-great grandparents,Thomas Connelly and Bridget Freeman, on 7 Feb 1853 in the parish of Boyounagh/Glenamaddy. I know that they had at least three children in Ireland before moving to Yorkshire and then on to Pennsylvania in the United States. While in Yorkshire their daughter, Katherine, married Patrick Mee, son of Patrick. I wonder if he also came from the Galway area or even from the same parish.
Thank you for sharing any information you may have.

Thank you for your efforts in my behalf. Here is a transcript of the church record. I have looked at a photo of the original page and believe that Bridget Frannan is actually Bridget Freeman, whose parents were James Freeman and Catherine Finnegan Freeman according to her son and the birth certificate of one of her younger children born in England.

Transcript Copyright Ancestry.com LLCIf you go to page 126 on the National Library link, you can see that Thomas Connelly married Bridget Fr???an, which to me looks like Freeman. This marriage would make sense since her eldest child, Catherine, was born in/about 1854 in Ireland. There are several sources I have found that say that Bridget Freeman was from Galway, Ireland. I found a Catherine on page 79 who appears to be the child of Thomas Connelly and Bridget Freeman, although I am not as certain of that as I am of Thomas and Bridget's marriage.
The Oranmore Connelly's are not the line I am looking at as they seem to have eventually settled in the New England states of the USA.
I will see if I can tie your information about Patrick Mee to my Patrick Mee. I have not yet found his death information, nor his birth location in Ireland. He married Catherine although she was nearly 20 years younger, in fact, she was married at about age 16. He may have met her through her father or the families may have been known to each other in Ireland.
Once again, thank you.

Update
Thanks to DNA I can say that Patrick Mee, son of Patrick Mee and Margaret O'Brien of Liskea, Galway, is my ancestor. If anyone has information about any of his forebears, I would appreciate it.
