In researching the online civil records for my family in Rathangan and Baldwinstown, in County Wexford, what do I choose for the "Civil Registration District"? I thought it was Wexford but I find no records for these townlands at all under that choice. Is it possible that there are no civil records for these townlands?
Thank you for your help.

Rathangan is in County Kildare. Baldwinstown is in County Wexford. Depends on the years you are looking for Births from 1864 up to 1922ish not all images are appear but you do get the information. Enter the name you are looking for, and press to search. then see how many results, then add the years, plus and minus 5 years and press enter again. I cannot remember the registration District but if you can give a name I will look for you. Any births after 1922 to 1958 you go to another site. Margot

There's also a Rathangan in Co. Wexford - part of the name of a Catholic parish located about half way between Wexford town and Wellingtonbridge., see RC parish registers : Duncormick (Rathangan / Kilmannon.
One of the townlands in the parish was named Rathangan where one of the Catholic Chapels for the parish was located, hence the parish name. The town of Baldwinstown is in one of the civil parishes covered by this Catholic parish.
The Poor Law Union and Civil Registration District would be Wexford (based in the county town).Shane Wilson, IrelandXO Volunteer ☘

An example of a civil birth where the child was born in Baldwinstown - John Neill, 1877 (entry 181)

Are you following up on specific church records or other source which mention 'Rathangan and Baldwinstown' ?
If you post the details of your starting source(s), e.g. names, dates etc., we could have a search of the civil records for you..
Sometimes we see births registered a while later than the baptisms to avoid fines, so it's possible for example to find a baptism of a child late one year and the birth registration with a 'fudged' birth date registered the next year.Shane Wilson, IrelandXO Volunteer ☘

Thank you both so much. I have been looking for my Mealy/Maley/Malley/Meley family in Rathangan. I have all their births in the 1840s from the Parish registers. When I switched over to the civil records to hopefully find marriages and deaths, I found NONE OF MY FAMILY under the Wexford Civil Registration District. Therefore, I concluded that Wexford was an incorrect choice. However, after spending hours scrolling through the civil records, I believe Wexford is the correct choice, but I now realize that my family has vacated Rathangan. There is not one left.!! How strange is that !! Thanks for your help. :-)
