in 1978 while travelling around Donegal, I bought some Donegal tweed which I brought home to Tasmania with the intention of having it made into a skirt. I never did have it made up but I still have it and it is in perfect condition. I checked my diary from that time and I had written that we had been out to the cliffs at Bunglas and drove back to a small weaving shop where I bought the tweed. We continued on the road to Glencolumbkille. Here is the photo I took of the weaver and I would love to know if anyone can identify him.

Christine,
You might want to try local businesses and see if they recognize the weaver
Here is one in Glencolumbkille
Rossan Knitwear | The Glencolmcille Woollen Mill Outlet
or contact other Donegal weavers
Studio Donegal | Hand-Woven Garments | Donegal Tweeds & Woollens
or you can contact the school holding the weaving course
