I have been tracking down some of my relatives and found out that my great grandad samuel Brown was born in Dromore may 1874 and married a woman called Elizabeth Newall born Glasgow 1880, but what is weird that her mother Anne Jane Faulkner was also born in Dromore april 1850.
But on checking further back i also found my great great grandad James Brown was also born in Dromore about 1853 and he was married to a woman called Mary Jane Graham born sept 1853 Dromore.
Going back one step further my great x 3 grandad was also born in Dromore 1831 and he was called Samuel Brown and married to a women called Isabella Glassey.
So what i am trying to find out is there a parish record or records i can go to and also is there any grave stones or where they all stayed in Dromore.
Many thanks
Eddie

Eddie,
Samuel Brown (1874) was born in Ednego and his father was a weaver. According to the certificate, James wife was Margaret Jane Graham (not Mary).
Here’s their marriage in 1871:
Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church, so that may be where you would find the Graham family baptisms etc. In this case that was Dromore Church of Ireland. It has records from 1784 onwards. There’s a copy in PRONI in Belfast.
The groom lived in Tullyhinan, parish of Magherally. Weavers and labourers moved around a lot (to follow the available work) and can be difficult to trace.
Possible death for Samuel born c 1831 (don’t know that is your family, merely that the age is roughly right):
Couldn’t see a death for Isabella.
You ask where they could be buried. They may be very hard to trace (because they moved from parish to parish and may not be buried where you expect) and they are unlikely to have gravestones. Most weavers/labourers couldn’t afford one.

Eddie,
Save for a few fragments, all censuses pre 1901 in Ireland have been destroyed.
I found Margaret Brown’s death in 1881 at Ednego, aged 26. You’ll note that she had a daughter that died a few days previously. Both deaths on the same page.
So siblings for Samuel b 1874 were:
William 14.7.1872
Edward 20.6.1876
Isabella 22.7.1879
Un-named female 26.8.1881
James remarried in 1892 to Annie Spratt:
Here they are in the 1901 census:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Down/Dromore_Rural/Drumbroneth/1205768/
Family in 1911:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Dromore_Rural/Drumbroneth/207624/
The Valuation Revision records on the PRONI site show James Brown in Drumbroneth. He had plot 5h which was a house and small garden. His name was deleted and the house vacant for a while. I think he left in 1911. There was an Alexander McKee there by 1917.
Family were Church of Ireland (Episcopalian), so possibly buried in Dromore Cathedral graveyard. (But they might have had a family plot somewhere else).
There are several trees on Ancestry which have this family. Some have some errors on them so need to be taken cautiously but one (Ericksen) has Isabella dying in Glassford, Lanarkshire 25.5.1972. It also has James Brown as having sisters Isabella Maria Brown b 11.1.1854 Dromore & Matilda b 21.3.1858 Dromore. No indications as to what became of them. The tree also shows Margaret Jane Graham dying in Ireland in 1915 but that is wrong. She died in 1881. (Confirmed by your Samuel’s 1900 marriage certificate which shows her as deceased).
If you have an Ancestry sub you might want to get in touch with with the tree owners and share information.

Eddie,
Go to public member trees on the Ancestry site.
Enter James Brown born 1853 Ireland
Married 1871 Ireland
Spouse Margaret Graham
That brings up 9 trees with the family. (Ericksen, Gordon Porter, Stevenson x 2, Lestienne, McAllister, Molyneux, Brown & Rogers & Harte). You’ll see some errors eg Ericksen has the 1871 marriage in Drom, Co Kerry instead of Dromore, Co Down but enough of the dates and information are right to be sure it’s the family your are interested in.
