I am researching my Bolger ancestors. My great-grandfather was Patrick Bolger; he was baptised in 1852 in St Patrick's church in Monageer, Co Wexford. His parents were Bernard Bolger and Bridget Devereux. Patrick moved to Liverpool in the late 1860s and was entered in the 1871 census as living with his mother, Bridget. He emigrated to the USA around 1890. If anyone sees a connection it would be great to hear from them.

Hello Kenny (?)
I had a look at your family. I couldn't find your Patrick's baptism record. I found one other record that you may not have seen as is recorded as Bulger (handwriting I think) - that of Michael born to Bryan (a derivative of Bernard and Brian) Bolger and Bridged Devereaux. Think townsland was Leynagh, but handwriting very poor.
Have you considered a DNA test which might reveal relatives still in the Monageer area?
Wishing you every success with your research
