Hello I was wondering if anybody had any information on the parents of my great-grandfather Bertie Byrne (1901-1987) of The Green, Hacketstown

You can see Bertie, age 10, in the 1911 census here:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Carlow/Hacketstown/Bri…
He was living in Hacketstown with his grandmother Bridget, age 60; two of her sons; and a lodger.
You might search irishgenealogy.ie civil records for Bertie's birth, which would give the parents' names.

Evan,
I wasn't able to find a birth record for Bertie on RootsIreland.
Using the 1911 census Patricia provided, I found birth records for Thomas 1892 and James 1874. They were born in Hacketstown to James Bryne and Bridget Keogh/ Kehoe. I found two other children- Bridget 1876 and Patrick 1878. Perhaps Patrick is Bertie's father.
Per Irishgenealogy, Bertie married Elizabeth Bryne in 1930. His father unfortunately was not identified. Elizabeth's father was Thomas. They both lived in Hacketstown. Bertie was a tailor.

Evan,
As you research try other names associated with the name Bertie- Albert, Bernard, Robert...
King Edward the king at the time was called Bertie maybe that is where the name came from?
