I’m not sure anyone can help, but I would appreciate any insight.
I am trying to determine the parents of my 2nd great-grandparents on my mother's side:
I suspect I am on the right track, but I can’t find records to confirm this, especially birth records that would definitively give me the names of their parents...and there seems to have been so much intermarriage and a scarcity of new names!
I would be very grateful if you could provide any more definitive information.

I agree. There must have been quite an exodus of the island even before the famine years, as so many ended up in Canada and the US, intermarrying with other Irish immigrants

Hi Pen,
Might be related to my family! I seem to remember coming across a Johannah Harrington. And we are from Durrus (MUINTERVARA). We have 2 Daniel Harringtons too.
My uncle Sean has a good family tree https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/tree/155459177/family?cfpid=3520…;
Our Harrington's are from Keelovanogue (name no Longer used). Also search Kilcrohane and Bantry. Hope that helps.
Best wishes,
Lily

Thank you, Lily, there is no doubt a connection as I get DNA matches in part through those Daniels, but I just can't bbe sure who is who...so many Harringtions with so many of the same names!

Yes much repetition of the names. And intermarriage with the Sullivans. Barbara has a good family tree.

Good luck!
