My grandfather, William Blakeney (born May 8 1894) migrated to the USA from Enniscrone. His parents were Robert Blakeney born in 1830 and Marie (Boyd) Blakeney. He was one of 8 children. They lived in Enniscrone, County Sligo, Ireland. There is a family currently in the area, the children of Walter Blakeney who I think was also from Enniscrone, He passed away in 2014. I am trying to find out what the relationship is, if any. My grandfather was born 1894 I have been told that they are descendants. Would like to contact them at some point, but want to make certain how and if they we are related. We are traveling there in October. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
