Timothy Guinane of Annagh townland, Murroe, married Mary Rainsford Feb.17, 1817. They had 8 children:
1. Thomas Guinane, baptised Jan 4, 1818. He married a neighbor, Bridget Casey, on Feb. 21, 1846. They had 7 children: Martin Guinane, baptised Oct 30, 1847; Mary Guinane Ryan (Cregaun), baptised Mar. 4, 1850; Honora Guinane, baptised Oct. 24, 1853; Bridget Guinane, baptised Jan. 23, 1856; Timothy Guinane, baptised Aug 7, 1858; Anastasia Guinane Clune, baptised Apr.21, 1860; Patrick Guinane, baptised Mar. 5, 1864.
2. John Guinane, baptised Aug. 8, 1819 (my great great grandfather)
3. Patrick Guinane, baptised May 4, 1821
4. Mary Guinane Duggan, baptised Jul. 7, 1823
5. Margaret Guinane Keogh, baptised 1826
6. Stephan Guinane, baptised Dec. 20, 1827
7. Bridget Guinane McEvoy, baptised 1830
8. Catherine Guinane, baptised Aug 9, 1831
I have researched many of these ancestors & can provide further information. The most "colorful" of all is one of the sons of Mary Guinane Duggan, Martin Duggan, who became Marshall of Leadville, Colorado, USA. There is historical info about him online.
I'd love to hear from anyone with knowledge of this family, including the Rainsfords!
