Thomas McGovern was my maternal great grandfather, father of Dominick McGovern and grandfather of my grandmother Rose Ellen McGovern. He married Sicily/Ciciley Sweeney. She is listed as being 88 on the 1911 census, which means she was probably born in 1823. Family lore says she lived to be 100/101. I do not know when Thomas was born nor when he died. He is not listed on either the 1901 or 1911 census. Their children were Dominick 1851-1951, Rose Ann 1862-1944, Ellen, Sabina, John, and Bridget.
