Rose Costello Rice McGowan was born in County Cavan Ireland approximately 1822. She was married to Mr. Rice and had a daughter Margaret in 1845. She was widowed and remarried James Patrick McGowan. Went to America approximately 1850? She had six children with James Patrick and died in 1876 in Connecticut. She was buried with her daughter Mary who died in 1870 aged 10. My great-grandfather was her youngest son Thomas Henry McGowan born in 1963.
