Philip Ryan was a farmer from Clareen a townsland in the parish of Ardmayle, Cashel. He had at least one son Michael who in 1875 married Bridget Cleary b.1854-d.1892 a farmers daughter also from Clareen and they are my great great grandparents. The prevalence of the Ryan surname in the area has made it difficult to locate other Ryan relatives. It is also possible that Philip may have had children who emigrated and I'd love to hear from anyone that can trace their Ryan family history back to Ardmayle and Clareen in particular.
