Peter McHale was born in Ballina around 1823. His son Edward was born in Kilmoremoy in 1847. Peter his wife Barbara and brothers Owen, Ned, John, sisters Catherine and Brigit came to Wrexham in Wales sometime after 1847 as they are on the 1851 census in Wales. Ned was married to Margaret McNulty. They also emigrated with the Devitts to Wrexham. My Grandmother Elsie McHale said they were related to a famous Bishop and there was a statue of him.
