I am looking for my family that moved to Port Leyden, NY.
Melvin Mullaney birth 1790.
His wite's name was Catherine and she was born in 1800.
His son Patrick immigrated with them. His birth was 1836 - 1932 and he married Mary Melvin in 1864.
The family arrived in American in 1863. I believe that Mary Melvin was already in the states and they married here.
All the paperwork says they came from County Sligo. In one place it looks like they may have originated from the City Sligo. I have not been able to find any records in Ireland. This is my great grandmother's family and they lived for several generations in Port Leyden, NY. Her name was Winifred Mullaney Dulan. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
