Carncastle, Antrim, Ireland. He married Ellen Lough 1st June 1815 in Ireland. She was born in 1794 and died in Canada in 1838. Children: John McKee (22 09 1816), Patrick (19 05 1818), Eleanor (18 Mar 1820), Samuel (07 12 1821), Robert (18 Apr 1824), Joseph L (18 04 1824), William (06 04 1827), Thomas (22 Apr 1830), James (01 07 1832), Henry Shaw (28 07 1834) and Paul (25 Jun 1836), all born in Ireland.
Patrick first settled in Clarence Township, Ontario, in 1838, with his wife and all of their children. He settled next to Joseph Kinsella, another immigrant from Ireland. Both then moved to the next township, Cumberland Township, in 1840.
Three McKees later married three Kinsellas. Patrick's son William has the distinction of operating the first hotel in Cumberland Village in 1857. The McKees were Presbyterians.
