Immigrated on the Vessel BRITISH TRIDENT arriving in Sydney 7th JANUARY 1861. Aged 26 years Resided in NSW for 67 years Age stated on Ship’s Log and Deposit Register shows that Patrick was 19 instead of 29. The Deposit Journal also shows that Patrick was originally going to travel with his aunty MARY CARMODY (his father Patrick’s sister). Deposit for both Patrick and Mary was paid by RAYMOND & CO. Mary was later refused permission to board the British Trident due to age and fragility and the deposit paid for her was refunded.
