Patrick McGrath died 3 Jan 1924 in Prestwich, Manchester, where he was living with his eldest son, Francis, and his daughter in law, Mary Elizabeth nee Pendleton. When she died in 1930 Francis returned to Belcoo where he died 27 April 1949. Francis joined the Army in 1892 in Manchester for just 49 days. He worked in the cooperage of his uncles James and Thomas Parker, brother of his mother, Margaret. He married in 1899 and had 7 children.
A second son of Patrick McGrath and Mary, Thomas, was born 16 Sept 1878 and he married Maggie Scollan on 27 Nov 1909. Thomas died on 7 Nov 1941 and Maggie on 3 Aug 1949, they had 10 children.
