Your note is much appreciated. Here is some more information that I've gleaned from Ancestry.com

Martin K Carolan was born in February1862 in Mayo, Ireland, to Martin Carolan.
Martin K Carolan married Catherine McHugh in 1889 when he was 27 years old.

His son Patrick J was born on July 16, 1891 in Mayo, Ireland

Martin left Mulranny, Co Mayo for the United States on the Scythia, a Cunard ship which departed from the port of Cobh/ Queenstown which was bound for Halifax then New York, departure date April 9, 1922.

Patrick J Carolan died in 1929 in Bayonne, New Jersey, when he was 38 years old. Patrick left behind my Mother Florence Patricia Turner (Carolan) who was 3 years old at the time of his death. Her Mother Mary Rose Carolan (Nie) (Sullivan) also passed in 1929 at the age of 35.

Additionally:

Martin Carolan, My 2nd Great-Grandfather had a son (Martin K Carolan) from one relationship. His residence was recorded as Murreagh East, Burrishoole.

I would love to know if any of the Carolan's still reside if Co. Mayo or elsewhere. As my grandfather Patrick was born in Ireland I can apply for Irish Citizenship. This is something I've been meaning to do for a little while now, if for no other reason then to pass the heritage along to my children.
