My great- grand uncle, brother to Anne Agnes Coleman, my great- grandmother. Patrick Coleman was the son of Michael Coleman and Mary Ruane. He was born at Dalteen, County Mayo, where he spent the greater part of his life farming and working as a shopkeeper. He was married to Bridget Gallagher at Claremorris on 9th February, 1881. Their children included James, Michael, Mary, John, Catherine, Margaret, Patrick, Delia, Ellen and Patrick. The elder Patrick died at Dalteen 18th January 1929. He was preceded in death by seven of his children. He was survived by his wife.
