Michael O'Brien (Brian) was born on June 18, 1815, in Brough Cross, Cork, to Daniel O'Brien and Ellen (Eleanor) Barry. He was baptized in Doneraile, sponsors were Thomas Roche (1793) & Margaret Barry .He married Julia (Judith) Coffey on September 18, 1843 in Churchtown, Liscarroll, Cork. Their first son, Patrick, was born on December 23, 1845, in Ballynamuck, Liscarroll, Cork. Michael and Julia came to Vermont in 1847 alone. They had seven other children all born in Vermont. Patrick shows up in Vermont in 1894 when he marries Mary McNalley in Burlington, Vermont.
It appears as though Daniel & Ellen's other children were Timothy, John, Ellen, Jerimiah and William.
Michael died on March 6, 1892, in Hinesburg, Vermont, with Julia passing a month later in April, 1892.
