Michael Moran and Bridget Ellen Keogh had two children baptised in Ballybay, Kiltoom, Roscommon: Bridget, in 1835, and Mary, in 1838. The family emigrated to America through New York to New Marlborough, Berkshire County, Massachusetts in 1839. Michael was the son of John Moran and was a farmer. He and Bridget had several more children: John, James, Anna Elizabeth, Ellen, and William F. His daughter, Mary, married Peter Blow (Blois), a French Canadian immigrant. She was my 2nd great grandmother.
