Mary was the daughter of Daniel Harrington, her mother died when she was young. She emigrated, alone, to join her father in Newfoundland. She married Silas Knapton and raised six children, James, Mary Ann, John, William, Alice, and Edwin.

Greetings from Connecticut: I am tracing my Harrington tree.
Could her son John have married Katherine "Kate" Bowen, and had a son George Andrew Harrington? George was my Great Grandfather (10 May 1880 to 16 Nov 1948). George married Ottillie "Tillie" Scholz in 1908 in New York.
Any tips are much appreciated! Hoping to find and meet my Irish family!
