Migrated to/Born in Australia
My ancestor Mary Curran was transported to Hobart, Tasmania, Australia with her daughter Ellen Curran. She left behind her husband John Curran and 3 other children.
She was tried in Kilkenny and transported from Dublin on the ship "Hope" in the 1840's.
Mary Curran was my Great, great, great grandmother.
Ellen Curran married Thomas Bradshaw in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Hobart in 1855.
Ellen and Thomas had 9 children. Ann (Annie) Bradshaw, born 1859 travelled to New Zealand and lived with my Grandmother Amy and Grandfather Edmund O'Donoghue.
Edmund came from County Limerick.
She helped raise their children in Gisborne New Zealand.
Amy's eldest son was Edmund, my father.
