Mary Ann Kennedy was born to Frank Kennedy and Mary Kate Comerford in Clough, Castlecomer, Kilkenny, Ireland. She immigrated to Philadelphia, PA USA in the 1880's. Her brothers George and Michael were also in Philadelphia at the time. She married John Robert Flynn 17 October 1886 at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia. She had 6 children: Annie, Francis, Catherine (Kathryn) Mary Ann, James, Loretta. Her husband John Robert died in 1896 of typhoid fever. He was a waiter. Mary Ann never remarried. She lived mostly with her dauther, Kathryn who married Patrick Edward Lynch. Mary Ann died in Philadelphia March 8, 1932
