I believe Martin immigrated to America in 1849 to New York.  He was born in Co. Galway, His parents I believe were Honor Lowry and Michael Shaughnessy. He married Annie R. ( possibly Dillon) in Jefferson Kentucky in 1862. They had two children in Kentucky and sometime before 1880 they have moved to San Francisco California. Where they had 3 more children. Martin died in San Francisco in 1906.
