Martin Lyons was a farmer in Tuam and the father of my 2 x G.G. Patrick Joseph Lyons. Beside my 2 x G.G. he is believed to have had two other sons, John Lyons the eldest, the only record I can find is 1855 (too early?) and his youngest Martin Lyons, born 1874. He is shown as being deceased on my 2 x GG marriage banns in 1897, with the occupation farmer.
The only information that I have on a spouse is that her name was Catherine, with no maiden name. The only documentary proof I can find is an 1855 baptism entry for John Lyons, listing her as the mother and I can't be certain that due to the year of birth and the difference in age between him and my 2 x GG 1867-70, that the link is familial.
