Marcella Kelleher/Kelaher was born December 1902 to Patrick Kelleher and Catherine (Kate) Hart. Their other children were: John 1885; Patrick 1887; James 1901- the boys and Marcella all stayed in Ireland. Their other daughters: Mary Ann 1887; Catherine (Kate) 1889; Elizabeth (Lizzie) 1893; Ellen/Helen 1895; Alicia 1900 all immigrated to the United States.
The family lived in Currygranny in 1901 but later moved to House 47 in Newtownforbes, County Longford in 1911.
I found Marcella on her brother, Patrick's death certificate in County Longford in 1957. It listed address as Curry House. Patrick's death notice was in the newspaper and listed his funeral mass as being out of Newtownforbes Church. I visited the County Longford Library, but the woman I spoke to didn't know of a Curry House.I went to the registration in Dublin and they could not find a notice of death of Marcella. I thought it might be because she was the last living Kelleher in Ireland and she had no one to list her death. I have written to churches and searched numerous records to no avail. I would just like to honor Marcella's life. She was 55 years old in 1957 so I don't believe she married.
