Migrated to/Born in USA
I believe he was born in County Sligo around 1831. Supposedly he arrived in the USA via New York on 10 June 1847.
The family I knew always said they arrived in the USA via Pennsylvania, but lots they said have turned out not to be totally true. No one spoke of the time in Ireland, saying they were Americans now and grateful for being here. Hard to find infomation when you were the youngest of the grandchildren and most everyone passed on before you knew enough to ask questions.
