John F Ryan is my maternal great grandfather. Afer serving in the (American) Civil War, he married Martha Ogden. Their daughter Mary Ryan Married Van Etten Prey and their daughter Virginia Margaret Pray was my mother. I can't find how he came in to the USA and if he was alone or wih family.
