James McGovern was born in 1826 (in Sligo)according to Census records. He married Alice Clark (do not know date) born August 1831 possibly in Sligo also. They came to America about 1850 and settled in Columbus, Georgia where he died in 1893. Had a younger brother Patrick who also lived in Columbus and died in 1893. Alice Clark McGovern moved to New Orleans where she died in 1913. These are my Great-Great Grandparents and would appreciate any and all assistance in finding out more information. My goal is to visit Ireland and possibly find some relatives.
