James Lawrence O'Connor/Connor was born in Knockreagh, Castleisland Kerry Ireland 14 Feb 1866, his father, Laurence, was 28 and his mother, Bridget, was 22. James immigrated to the United States at age 23 and came to Worcester, Massachusetts. He married Margaret Walsh (born in Claragh, Drishane, Cork, Ireland) on November 12, 1891, in Worcester, Massachusetts. They had eight children in 17 years. He died on October 6, 1943, in Worcester, Massachusetts, at the age of 77, and was buried there.
Children were Lawrence Stephen O'Connor, Abbie Ruth O'Connor, Bridget Elizabeth O'Connor, Mary Cecelia O'Connor, Margaret Bernadette O'Connor, James Anthony O'Connor, Helen Magdaline O'Connor, and John Joseph O'Connor.
