James Carr is buried in St. Catherine’s Church of Ireland Graveyard in Killybegs, County Donegal, Ireland. The Graveyard was once as The Ancient Parish Church of St. Catherine on the west side of Killybegs Harbour.
The tombstone shows erected by his sons in America. I am a descendent of one of them! I would LOVE to be able to visit some day or learn anything about my Irish roots. I have done DNA testing on myself, father, and mother. I am 45% Irish.
James married Jane (Dougherty) and they were the parents of Francis Carr, Mark Carr, James Carr, and Susan (Carr) Conway. We know nothing of any family left behind in Ireland.
