George Patton was born in the late 1700’s in Ireland. He married Esther Walker (b. 1794).
They had 5 children that we know of, William (b. 1815), Colville (b 1818), Jane (b. 1824), George (b. 1830) and Hannah (b, 1837).
The eldest son Colville was married 4 Feb 1847 in Newtownards, County Down to Elizabeth Maxwell Robb. On that document Colville is listed as living in Ballyskeagh.
William (b. 1815?) immigrated to Canada as is listed living with his widowed mother in 1861 in Huron County, Ontario, Canada. No death certificate yet found.
Colville (b. 1818) immigrated to Canada shortly after his marriage in 1847 as his first child Ellen is born in Huron County, Ontario, Canada in 1849. He moves in abt 1874 to Michigan, USA and dies there in 1901.
Jane (b. 1824) married James Johnston 25 Jan 1865 in Huron County, Ontario, Canada. She died in 1898 in Huron County.
George (b. 1830) is in Huron County, Ontario, Canada by 1861, living on his own farm. In 1867 he marries Annie Fowler. He dies in 1895 in Huron County.
Hannah (b. 1837) marries Andrew Johnston 25 Jan 1865 in Huron Co, Ontario, Canada. She dies in 1899 in Huron County.
Esther (Walker) Patton is buried in Wingham Cemetery, Huron County, Ontario, Canada. The date on the tombstone is illegible and no death certificate has been found.
There is no proof that George Patton ever left Ireland.
