His father was “Padraic Madden of Airecourt/Eyre Court (Eyrecourt?) in Galway, Ireland. His mother was Margaret Moran. They appear to have come to New York prior to the birth of their son in 1826. Their grandson was Edward Francis Madden. His wife was Anne Louise Mackenzie.
