  • Elizabeth Reid was my GG grandmothers name was born in Larne Antrim on the 15th July 1869. She left Home in about 1897 looking for the father of her unborn Daughter who was my Mothers Mother and my grandmother Helen Catherine Pinkerton,her father was William Pinkerton. My Grandmother was born on 2nd february 1897 in Hamilton Detroit Michigan. William was reported drowned in 1898. gggrandmother and Grandmother left for Australia in 1898/99.Elizabeth Died in Ballarat victoria Australia on 26 november 1946 and my grandmother passed away 12 october 1969. Elizabeths Father was James Reid and mother was Jennie Currie.Elizabeth married John Rees in about 1901 he passed away in victoria in june1939. Questions are Birth certificate for Grandmothers and any information on William Pinkerton? William was a Light house keeper from 1891 -1895 he was dismissed because he was hard to get along with!!
