I'm not sure why I only posted this picture with no context.
Elizabeth Malone emigrated to LaSalle, IL supposedly as a 15 year old with her parents(Michael Malone and Anna McNamara). I have found no evidence of her parents in the U.S. She married Michael Farrell in 1851 at St Pat's in LaSalle. She had three children with Farrell; Anne, Jane and James. Farrell died before 1857. Elizabeth married Edward Foley in 1857, also at St Pat's in LaSalle. They had four children; Ellen, Margaret, John and Edward.
The picture is from the 1910's and includes Elizabeth, her daughter Margaret, granddaughter Jane Martin Flanagan and two of her sons, probably Martin and Thomas.
I don't know where Elizabeth was born in Ireland. She was my gggrandmother and Edward was my gggrandfather. John Foley was my ggrandfather. I also don't know where Edward was born in Ireland.
I found an interesting piece of information from her probate record from 1919. Besides her attorney, when she wrote her will, a William McNamara was a witness. He had been mayor of LaSalle in the early 1900's. Elizabeth's mother was Anna McNamara and I wonder if William was related to Elizabeth through her mother?
Any help with finding where Elizabeth or Edward were born would be greatly appreciated!!!
