Migrated to/Born in Australia

My great grandmother Catherine O'Rourke may have been born in Milltown Malbay, Co. Clare sometime around 1858 to 1861. Catherine departed Queenstown in May 1876 and arrived in Queensland, Australia as a free settler, on board the Scottish Bard on 15 August 1876.

Catherine (a housemaid) married George Meiklejohn in 1885 in St George, Queensland, Australia.  Their marriage record lists Catherine's parents as John O'Rourke/Rourke and Mary Blougn/Brougn. William Storker and Mary Clarke were witness signatures on the marriage record.

Catherine and George raised a family of 11 children and when Catherine was 32 years old she gave birth to my grandfather and his birth certificate lists Catherine's birthplace as Milltown, Co. Clare, Ireland.

Catherine died in October 1920 in Roma, Queensland, Australia.
