Bridget McGillicuddy Shea (1838-1874) of Rossacoosane married Michael Shea (1835-1903) of Tuosist on November 4, 1860. They were married in Our Lady of Assumption Church near Templenoe. Witnesses were Denis O'Connor and Patrick Shea with Rev. J. O'Sullivan officiating.

According to her tombstone, she was a "Native of Glininchaquinn, Kinmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland." She and Michael lived in Gleninchaquin where their first son, Patrick, was born. They baptized him at Dauros Church in Tuosist with Mortimer Sullivan and Johanna McGillicuddy serving as sponsors. Michael emigrated from Ireland to the USA in 1863, so Bridget probably emigrated from Ireland the following year along with their son who, according to US Census records, arrived in 1864. The family lived in Stafford Springs, Connecticut.

Bridget is listed on the United States Census for 1970 as homemaker 'keeping house." She gave birth to seven children, five of whom lived: Patrick (1863-1928), Michael (b.1868), Katherine (1871-1917), Elizabeth (1869-1941), and Jeremiah (b.1872).

Bridget died on May 12, 1974. She is buried in St. Edward's Cemetery in Stafford Springs, Connecticut.

Her Irish in-laws were Michael and Johannah O'Shea.
