Andrew Lyons lived in Co Carlow and was born around 1956. He married Mary Murphy in 1880 who I believe was born in 1858 and they subsequently had one son, John in 1881. Soon after they came across to Liverpool and went on to have Patrick, Michael, James and Luke. They had several other chidlren who didn't survive very long - Mary had one little girl Catherine but sadly she only lived to be little more than a baby. Andrew and Mary's son James eventually married Margaret McDonald in Liverpool and they went on to have, among others, my dad. Mary died in her 30's due to the appaling living conditons and lack of sanitation - god love her. I'm currently reearching their families back in Ireland and hope to go and see Carlow for myself this year.
